Terms of Service
Last updated: April 15, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Mask Databases, operated by Mask Databases ("we", "us"). In these Terms, "the Service" means a platform for working with databases through natural-language prompts (for example in English) instead of writing traditional queries and schemas by hand—the compiler turns those prompts into real database code, and Mask Databases stores and syncs that compiled output, exposes APIs, and provides documentation so your team stays aligned.
By creating an account, clicking to accept, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.
1. The Service
We provide hosted software, APIs, documentation, and related features. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of the Service with reasonable notice where practicable. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
2. Accounts and security
- You must provide accurate registration information and keep it up to date.
- You are responsible for safeguarding credentials, API keys, and devices used to access the Service.
- You must notify us promptly at contact@maskdatabases.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or pose a security risk.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service in violation of law or third-party rights.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems, data, or other users' accounts.
- Probe, scan, or test vulnerabilities without our prior written consent.
- Overload or disrupt the Service (including circumventing rate limits).
- Use the Service to distribute malware, spam, or unlawful content.
- Reverse engineer the Service except where applicable law expressly permits.
- Resell or sublicense the Service without our agreement.
4. Your data and license to us
You retain ownership of your data. You grant us a limited license to host, process, transmit, and display your data solely to provide and improve the Service, enforce security, and comply with law. You are responsible for having the rights to submit your data and for its legality.
5. Plans, fees, and payment
- All plans require a paid subscription. Prices are listed in your account and on our pricing page. Taxes and statutory deductions may apply based on your billing country.
- Payments are processed through Paddle (paddle.com), our Merchant of Record. By completing checkout, you agree to pay the listed subscription amount for the plan you choose. Paddle collects and processes your card or wallet details under its own terms; we do not store full card numbers on our systems.
- For recurring subscriptions, charges continue each billing cycle until cancelled. Failed, reversed, or disputed payments may result in suspension of paid features or account restrictions until balances are cleared.
- Unless stated otherwise, fees are non-refundable except as described in our Refund Policy or required by law.
- We may change pricing with advance notice; continued use after the effective date may constitute acceptance.
6. Subscription activation and cancellation
- New accounts do not include API access or the ability to create projects until a paid plan is activated.
- You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period and you retain access until then.
- We may suspend access if payment is not received by the due date after reasonable notice.
7. Intellectual property
We and our licensors own the Service, branding, and underlying software. These Terms do not grant you ownership of our IP. Feedback you provide may be used by us without obligation to you.
8. Third-party services
The Service integrates third parties including AI providers, OAuth sign-in, and Paddle for payment processing. Paddle acts as our Merchant of Record; subscription payments are subject to Paddle's Terms of Service in addition to ours. Your use of those features may be subject to additional third-party terms. We are not responsible for third-party services outside our reasonable control.
9. Disclaimer
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
10. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, NEITHER Mask Databases NOR ITS AFFILIATES OR SUPPLIERS WILL BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID TO US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR (B) WHERE NO FEES APPLY, FIFTY US DOLLARS (USD 50), EXCEPT WHERE LIABILITY CANNOT BE LIMITED UNDER LAW (FOR EXAMPLE DEATH OR PERSONAL INJURY CAUSED BY NEGLIGENCE WHERE APPLICABLE).
11. Indemnity
You will defend and indemnify us against third-party claims arising from your data, your use of the Service in breach of these Terms, or your violation of law or third-party rights, subject to our prompt notification and reasonable cooperation.
12. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach, risk, non-payment, or extended inactivity as permitted by law. Provisions that by nature should survive (including IP, disclaimers, limitations, indemnity) will survive termination.
13. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts in Pakistan shall have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory rights you may have as a consumer in your country of residence.
